Summer 2026 Updates

• Data Literacy Activities help students build confidence in analysing research, interpreting statistics, and applying data practices. Five new modules allow you to assign and assess these skills directly in Achieve.
• AI-Enabled Guided Quiz Review provides personalised formative feedback between quiz attempts, helping students identify gaps in their understanding and focus on mastering concepts, without adding extra work for you.
• Short-Form Writing Creator helps you turn videos, webpages, PDFs, articles, and other sources into meaningful writing assignments in minutes. Built-in AI can help create or refine prompts, generate rubrics, and evaluate student submissions against those rubrics.

What’s New in this Edition

• New Data Fluency Activities (in Achieve) help students understand and interpret data visualisations while addressing ethical and accessibility considerations.
• New Psychology at Work Feature appears in every chapter, with a dedicated photo and caption highlighting careers that use psychological concepts and demonstrating the practical application of psychology in the workplace.
• Chapter 10, Gender and Sexuality features updated language and content informed by comprehensive feedback from GLAAD and a variety of other sources. Updates include the latest research on changes in gender stereotypes and cognitive differences between genders, sexual diversity in nonhuman animal populations, and expanded research on intersex individuals, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
• Chapter 2, Neuroscience and Behavior begins with a new introduction that frames the content around four levels of analysis and includes a new section on methods used by neuroscientists.
